A V S JASTRA (JASTRA)
15 yrs | 16hh Bay Gelding | Breeding unknown | Owner Crunkhorn family | Level Elementary
Jastra was my first horse when I moved up from ponies, we brought him in 1998. He was brought for show jumping and we were very successful competing up to foxhunter level in BSJA.
Jastra is the horse I competed with to be selected on to the World Class Performance Program, I had four dressage lessons on him before the trials in May 2001.
At Christmas 2001 Jastra had an accident, he fell over and ripped all the ligaments in his hock, he had to have 3 months off on full box rest, after the box rest we very slowly began working him and improving his fitness, luckily he made a full recovery and the hock looks normal.
In October 2004 Jastra came down with colic we thought it would just pass as normal as he is quite prone to colic. Unfortunately for him he had colic for a few days and had to be operated on, the vets did not find anything wrong, it was just trapped wind. He again made a full recovery. A year later after still having small colic's the vets scoped him for gastric ulcers, we were not surprised that some were found.
Through very careful feeding and management Jastra is looking fitter, healthier and happier.
He has competed up to Elementary level and has been to the National Championships at Novice and Elementary level.

ANGELA WEISS
I have trained with Angela since 2001. When my family and I first decided to have a go at Para dressage we thought it would be a good idea to have some dressage lessons. We rang our local Tack shop and asked if they knew of anyone in the area who trained in dressage, they gave us Angela's number, after four dressage lessons I was selected on to the World Class Performance Program as a new talented rider. I have trained with Angela ever since. Angela travelled with me to the World Championships in 2003, Athens 2004 Paralympics and the European Championships 2005. She has since become trainer to the World Class Start and Potential Squads and is now a rider at Grand Prix.
To keep my horses in top condition for training and competition I have a select team who I use to come and look after them for regular massage, teeth and any other treatments my horses may need.

FAMILY
Rob, Lyn and Emma. (Dad, Mum and Sister). All my family help and support me with the horses, I could not do it with out all their assistance and encouragement.
